Harvest Roles

Grain Classification
Classifiers are responsible for determining the quality of each load of grain being delivered. The classification process includes checking loads for contaminants, objective tests for protein, moisture, test weight and screenings then visually assessing samples for defects, weed seeds and other quality issues. These roles involve interacting directly with customers and require a strong attention to detail.

Road Grid Operation
Road grid operators are responsible for the safe and efficient recieval of trucks into the silo system. The main duties in these roles include; ensuring loads go into the correct cell, directing drivers when to tip and raise their trailers and general cleaning of the work area while always keeping an eye out for contaminants.

Bunker & Shed Receivals
Similar to road grid operations however bunkers and sheds are filled using mobile grids called drive over hoppers. In these roles, team members are responsible for checking driver's tickets to ensure the load is going into the correct cell, then operating the drive over hopper and directing the driver during discharge of the load.

Tarp Operations
Working in a small team, the tarp crew are responsible for laying groundsheets ready for grain to be tipped on and to cover the grain in bunkers using heavy-duty bunker tarps to ensure it is protected from the weather and sealed for fumigation.
